Job summary

Campbell's Bakery is seeking a Bakery Processing Operator in Hanover, PA to safely run processing equipment and ensure a continuous flow of products to packaging lines. You will read batch sheets, monitor temperatures, adjust ingredients, and help with maintenance to support quality and food safety standards.

Responsibilities include operating equipment, performing changeovers, recording production data, and following sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate bakery processing equipment to produce products within established quality and food safety standards.
• Properly mix ingredients and monitor product temperature, moisture levels, mix times, and ingredient weights.
• Make equipment and process adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency.
• Monitor production flow and remove improperly formed or non-conforming products.
• Read and follow batch sheets, recipes, and production instructions accurately.
• Operate, shut down, and perform changeovers on bakery processing equipment according to established procedures.
• Assist with preventative maintenance activities and basic troubleshooting of equipment.
• Monitor for potential foreign material contamination and elevate concerns appropriately.
• Complete required production records, logs, and documentation accurately.
• Follow sanitation procedures during cleanups and changeovers, including proper chemical handling.
• Track, manage, and properly dispose of production waste.
• Move raw materials and ingredients using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment as needed.
• Maintain appropriate raw material inventory levels and communicate material needs to appropriate personnel.
• Unload raw material deliveries and trailers safely and efficiently.
• Monitor seasoning application levels and make adjustments when applicable.
• Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards by keeping work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures, report defective equipment, and immediately report workplace injuries.
• Support mandatory overtime and perform additional duties as assigned.
