Job summary

Carlo’s Bakery in New York City is seeking a Porter/Bakery Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness of the bakery and support smooth back-of-house operations. This role ensures safe, clean front and back areas for a high-volume bakery environment.

The candidate should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and adapt to a fast-paced setting. Flexible scheduling is required to meet business needs, including shifts that may vary.

Responsibilities

• Keep front of house and back of house area is safe and clean
• Clean pots and pans to ensure readiness for bakers/cake decorators to use
• Wash and disinfect appliances, display case, work surfaces, floors, walls
• Mop and take out trash
• Ensure cleaning schedule is completed
• Replenish cleaning materials, soap, paper towels and toilet paper
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned
