Job summary

Franz Family Bakery is seeking a part-time Outlet Store Associate for Albany. You will engage with customers, assist with merchandise selection, and process purchases at the checkout using a POS system.

The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and safety in a fast-paced retail setting. The position requires flexibility in schedule (Mon-Sun, varying hours) and a willingness to perform light accounting tasks, inventory counts, and product ordering.

Qualifications

• Part-time position; hours vary by business needs.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with cash handling processes.
• Solid work history of at least one year at previous jobs is preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment math test, background check, drug screen and physical.
• Strong work ethic and be safety oriented.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to answer inquiries and advise on merchandise selections.
• Itemize and tally purchases at checkout using POS system; handle change accurately.
• Take inventory or inspect merchandise to identify items to restock or order.
• Restock and organize store shelves, racks, cases, and tables with new or transferred merchandise.
• Keep display cases, shelves, floors and aisles clean and orderly.
• Perform routine accounting tasks following established procedures to record daily transactions.
• Ensure store safety by opening/closing as directed and adhering to procedures.
• Support Franz Core Values and perform other duties as assigned.
