Legacy Bakehouse in Cudahy, WI is hiring a Bakery Operator to operate and monitor production lines for pita and other bakery items. You will ensure product quality, safety, and equipment reliability, while recording data and adhering to sanitation standards.

The role requires experience in food manufacturing, attention to detail, and basic computer skills. English literacy is essential; Spanish is a plus. This is a steady, full-time 1st shift position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Reliable and detail-oriented team player with strong communication skills.
• Ability to read and write in English (Spanish proficiency a plus).
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Prior experience in food manufacturing required; QA or food safety experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn and apply technical concepts (SQF, HACCP, Food Safety).

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor the continuous mixing and pita lines.
• Perform routine equipment inspections, identify maintenance needs, and report issues to your supervisor.
• Conduct product testing according to internal and customer specifications.
• Record production data, lot numbers, and quality checks at required intervals for traceability.
• Adjust equipment settings to maintain target production and quality standards.
• Follow all food safety and sanitation requirements, including daily and scheduled cleaning per the cleaning matrix.
• Complete line changeovers and prepare for the next production run efficiently.

The Role
