Job summary

Insomnia Cookies in Denver is hiring a full-time, hourly Assistant Bakery Operations Manager (ABOM) at our campus store located at 2075 S University Blvd D, Denver, CO 80210. The ABOM will lead bakery operations, support talent development, and act as a BOM backup when needed.

You will oversee inventory, scheduling, recruiting, coaching, and training, delivering quality, safety, and guest experience. The role offers a clear path to BOM leadership and a fun, fast-paced team culture.

Qualifications

• 1+ year leadership experience in restaurant, retail, or hospitality operations.
• Strong operational discipline and attention to detail.
• Ability to coach and develop hourly team members.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
• Ability to perform all bakery roles during peak business periods.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Execute core bakery operations including inventory rotation, scheduling support, staffing coordination, and administrative checklists.
• Maintain strict adherence to product quality, cleanliness, food safety, and guest experience standards.
• Support ordering, inventory accuracy, and shrink control.
• Assist in schedule creation and labor execution to meet operational targets.
• Recruit, interview, onboarding, and training of new staff; deliver coaching and feedback.
