Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18 years
• 1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve)
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen
• Proven availability to run great shifts while directing, motivating, coaching and developing others
• This role requires flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment
• Background check required
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for up to 6 hours

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager by making key decisions and problem solving
• Plan and manage staffing needs, shift scheduling, people development, career development, and succession planning
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members while motivating and celebrating the team
• Assist with managing team performance to meet bakery-cafe goals and guest service expectations
• Partner with the General Manager to develop managers on Panera’s processes and values
• Work as a team to ensure guest satisfaction through food and service quality
• Build relationships that lead to loyal guests as part of the bakery-cafe’s management team
• Follow procedures to execute company strategies and initiatives
• Ensure team follows policies and local regulations and maintains a safe workplace
• Assist with controlling costs and inventory while supporting a culture of warmth and growth
