Uncle Giuseppe’s Marketplace in Moorestown is seeking a hands-on Bakery Manager to lead our bustling bakery department and inspire a team dedicated to handcrafted perfection.

You will oversee daily operations, ensure top-quality baked goods, manage staff, and uphold food safety and presentation standards while delivering excellent customer service. This role requires a high school diploma, proven bakery management experience, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (Baking/Pastry program a plus!)
• Proven bakery management experience in a fast-paced retail environment
• Solid knowledge of baking techniques for cakes, cookies, pies, tarts, and pastries
• Food handler’s license preferred
• Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to perform under pressure
• Proficiency in English (reading, speaking, and understanding)

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of daily bakery operations — from mixing batter to managing bakers.
• Keep the bakery fully stocked with the best quality ingredients and supplies.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and utensils are clean, sanitized, and ready for action.
• Hire, train, and schedule your bakery team.
• Coach and inspire staff to produce high‑quality baked goods with consistency and care.
• Follow merchandising plans to showcase bakery items beautifully and boost sales.
• Maintain top‑tier presentation, uniformity, and freshness across all baked goods.
• Ensure customer satisfaction and handle any issues with professionalism and warmth.
• Keep food safety and sanitation standards at the heart of every recipe and routine.
