Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business related or food service related field desirable.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in management in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.
• Previous decorating experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Promotes excellent customer relations and ensures positive customer-focused behavior.
• Takes customer orders by phone or in person and creates finished decorated products promptly.
• Decorates cakes and bakery products using various designs and recipes.
• Assists Bakery Manager in daily operations and can perform duties in their absence.
• Oversees department inventories and tracks weekly sales to ensure accurate inventories.
• Assists with scheduling, training, and recognizing performance in bakery staff.
• Develops merchandising plans and ensures correct pricing and production amounts.
• Checks deliveries and invoices, unloads merchandise, and maintains stock and freshness.
• Controls department expenses and labor costs while adhering to recipes and logs.
• Keeps bakery department well stocked and customer-friendly, offering suggestions and resolving concerns.
