Job summary

The Nothing Bundt Cakes is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to work alongside the Bakery Manager and team to ensure high-quality cakes and a warm guest experience. You will help lead the guest experience, cake production, brand presentation, and inventory control while supporting recruitment, training, and daily operations.

You will play a key role in maintaining NbC standards, coaching staff, and contributing to marketing efforts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
• 1-3 years of guest-facing experience in retail/restaurant/food service, preferably in a lead role with progressive managerial responsibilities.
• Experience coaching others, achieving productivity goals and delivering superior guest experiences.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; comfortable with learning new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes the guest experience and models superior guest engagement.
• Partners with the Bakery Manager to lead guest experience, cake production, display, and inventory control.
• Supports recruitment, training, and coaching of team members and directs daily work responsibilities.
• Ensures product, service, bakery environment and visual standards meet NbC policies and safety standards.
• Assists in operational responsibilities including production plans, scheduling, supply orders, payroll processing.
• Co-manage special-order fulfillment for guests and corporate accounts.
• Co-facilitate opening/closing including cash handling and deposits.
• Contribute to local marketing events and community engagement.
• Maintain knowledge of all bakery roles and perform duties as needed.
