Nothing Bundt Cakes (NbC) is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to work alongside the Bakery Manager in Hickory, NC. The role focuses on delivering premium cakes, a warm guest experience, and a strong team culture aligned with NbC standards.

You will support leadership in cake production, inventory, scheduling, and daily operations, while ensuring health and safety and executing store strategies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
• 1-3 years of guest-facing experience in retail, restaurant or food service.
• Demonstrated success coaching others, directing work, and achieving productivity goals.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with comfort in learning new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize guest experience and foster a positive work environment.
• Partner with Bakery Manager to lead guest experience, cake production and inventory control.
• Recruit, train, and coach team members; provide feedback.
• Ensure standards for product, service, bakery environment, and safety compliance.
• Assist with scheduling, payroll, and basic accounting tasks.
• Co-manage special-order fulfillment for guests and corporate accounts.
• Support opening/closing of the bakery including cash handling.
• Help execute local marketing events and brand-building activities.
• Maintain knowledge of all bakery roles and cross-train as needed.
