Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Bakery Manager to lead the bakery team, manage inventory, ensure pricing integrity, and drive excellent guest service in a fast-paced setting. This role requires a hands-on leader who can optimize operations and maintain high standards.

You will greet guests, make recommendations, manage ordering deadlines, receive and stock products following rotation standards, and train team members using our internal platform to ensure exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• 3 years of management experience in grocery retail, restaurant, baking, or culinary roles.
• Ability to read planograms, layouts and schematics for merchandising.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide accurate, timely service.
• Make recommendations and accommodate requests.
• Manage ordering deadlines, shrink, and damage.
• Receive and stock goods following rotation standards.
• Handle, slice and prepare breads, pastries, and convenient meal solutions.
• Direct teams to properly receive/stock and merchandise according to standards.
• Coach and train team members on-the-job and via internal training platform.
