Ole & Steen is seeking an experienced Bakery Manager in New York to oversee the production of artisan Danish breads, pastries, and rolls while leading a team of bakers. The role blends hands-on baking with strong team leadership to deliver high-quality products and an exceptional customer experience.

Ideal candidates will balance daily operations with people leadership, drive Hygge-inspired service, and contribute to store growth and brand promise through dedication and pastry excellence.

Qualificações

• Proven experience in a baking environment with at least 2-3 years of hands-on baking experience, including Danish or Scandinavian baked goods.
• Leadership or supervisory experience, with the ability to manage a team and take ownership of the team’s performance.
• Experience with baking techniques such as mixing, proofing, bench work, and laminated dough production.
• Strong understanding of food safety and health regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Lead a Team: Supervise, motivate, and train a team of bakers, ensuring high standards of quality.
• Baking Operations: Prepare Danish breads, rolls, pastries, and laminated doughs according to traditional recipes.
• Quality Control: Maintain consistency and quality of baked goods, adjusting oven temps and times as needed.
• Inventory & Ordering: Monitor ingredient inventory and place orders to meet production needs.
• Health & Safety: Ensure health and safety standards and proper maintenance of equipment.
• Customer Satisfaction: Deliver an exceptional customer experience and maintain a welcoming bakery environment.
• Team Development: Promote continuous learning and collaboration within the team.
