Job summary

Responsibilities

• Observe and follow all company policies and standard practices.
• In absence of the department manager, manage department operations per department standards.
• Maintain neat, well groomed appearance per policy.
• Recognize associates delivering great service and coach to expectations.
• Understand and use company tools such as financial reports, scheduling, productivity, ordering, and business information systems.
• Maintain solid communication within the department, with the store manager, and throughout the organization.
• Maintain merchandising techniques and layouts per company standards.
• Ensure department pricing and coding policy compliance.
• Work within the management planning guidelines to maintain productivity.
• Support safety standards and report needed repairs or maintenance.
• Develop product knowledge across department, including preparation.
• Ensure training of assigned department associates.
• Maintain sanitation and food safety standards.
• Maintain department appearance and presentation.
• Treat associates with fairness, dignity, and respect.
• Perform all special projects and duties as assigned.
