Job summary

Darling Ingredients Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform preventive and corrective maintenance in the bakery processing facility under supervision.

The role requires basic welding, electrical, and mechanical skills, forklift experience, and the ability to work on a rotating 12-hour night shift, with every other weekend. You will follow preventive maintenance schedules, assist in equipment installations, diagnose parts, and maintain a clean, safe work area while adhering to all safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience operating a forklift.
• Experience in welding, electrical and mechanical work.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the installation of new equipment.
• Assists maintenance supervisor on fabrication projects.
• Follows preventative maintenance schedule.
• Trains Level 1 Maintenance personnel (if above level 1).
• Performs machine repair and installation such as replacing motors and pumps, welding piping, and cutting.
• Conducts daily greasing and oiling of plant equipment.
• Diagnoses and replaces equipment parts with minimal direction.
• Maintains clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Observes safety rules and attends safety meetings.
