Job summary

Izzio Artisan Bakery is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Louisville bakery team. You will maintain and repair complex bakery equipment, implement preventive maintenance programs, and coordinate with production to ensure minimal downtime and optimal efficiency.

Ideal candidates will have 3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in industrial or food manufacturing, strong electrical/mechanical repair skills, and a willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma from an accredited trade school in a related technical field.
• Three years of hands-on experience in maintenance of industrial or food manufacturing equipment.
• Equivalent combination of relevant education and practical experience.
• Essential: Strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Highly Preferred: Electrical experience with industrial systems.
• Preferred: Prior experience with bakery processing equipment, ovens, and food production machinery.
• Demonstrated ability to work with 3-phase electrical systems and motor controls.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work weekend days and occasional holidays based on operational needs.
• Reliability: Strong attendance record and commitment to meeting scheduled work requirements.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex bakery equipment, including mechanical and electrical systems.
• Execute comprehensive preventive maintenance programs on all production equipment.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance based on work orders and PM schedules.
• Monitor machinery performance to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
• Track and communicate parts inventory needs with the Plant Engineer.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Collaborate with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities.
