Job summary

Flowers Foods, Inc. in Maine is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to keep bakery systems running safely and efficiently.

You will rotate across different areas, perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and pursue ongoing training to adapt to new equipment. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, some technical training, and 2+ years in HVAC, welding, electrical or related maintenance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a technician in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, welding, electrical, industrial equipment, automotive repairs, or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/trade school certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate safe work habits, proper tool selection and usage, and general shop practices.
• Demonstrate knowledge of electrical welding, gas welding, cutting, soldering, pipe fittings, and metal fabrication (milling and lathe).
• Identify and inspect mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.
• Rebuild mechanical drive components such as clutches, brakes, etc.
• Verify and correct mechanical timing.
• Perform proper component lubrication and preventive maintenance.
• Identify wear and replace drive and conveyor components.
• Identify, wire, and troubleshoot electrical components.
• Use SAP for parts checkout, reporting, and data entry.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.
• Comply with company policies and procedures.
