Job summary

Target bakery position in New York is seeking a Baker to prepare bakery items, engage guests, and maintain safety and quality standards. You will assist guests, stock, and follow food-safety procedures while producing items to specification.

Ideal candidates bring strong guest service skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment; baking experience is preferred but not required. Flexible hours, including nights and weekends, are common.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Experience in bakery or food service is helpful but not required.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate scanners and other equipment.

Responsibilities

• Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments.
• Greet guests and assist them in finding what they need.
• Help guests have a smooth, easy shopping experience and thank them at the end of transactions.
• Follow food safety requirements and keep records as required by Target policies.
• Produce, package and label items to specifications and follow department routines to drive sales and profitability.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness, and support team with other duties during shifts.
