Job summary

Lowes Foods is seeking a friendly bakery associate to greet guests, assist with baking, weighing, and pricing products, and maintain freshness across the bakery department.

In this role you will perform front-end duties to minimize guest waits, help with cake decorating when requested, and ensure inventory and sanitation standards are upheld in cooler, freezer, prep, and sales areas. Must be at least 18 years old and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Ability to read and understand information and direction.
• Effective communication, guest service and selling skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to bend, kneel and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests politely and provide friendly service.
• Prepare products for sale (baking, weighing, pricing).
• Maintain product level, quality and freshness.
• Assist cake decorating as needed.
• Keep cooler, freezer, prep and sales areas sanitary.
• Communicate guest requests to management.
• Notify supervisor of temperature breakdowns.
• Keep supply area neat and tidy.
• Perform front-end duties to minimize wait times.
• Announce specials and sale information over PA.
• Assist in product receiving and storage.
