Job summary

PCC Community Markets in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Bakery Steward to support our PCC and Vendor Bakery program. You will work with the Deli Manager and Merchandiser to maintain displays, quality, and stock levels that enhance the customer experience.

You will collaborate with bakery teams to align merchandising with daily production, manage inventory, and execute seasonal displays while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Passion for merchandising and support of PCC Bakery program.
• Strong visual merchandising skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency in basic math for inventory management.
• Excellent communication and ability to multitask in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong time management and creative problem-solving skills.
• High performance and knowledge of bakery practices or equivalent experience.
• Open availability for flexible scheduling including mornings, evenings, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory and merchandising in collaboration with the in-house bakery team.
• Create and maintain visually attractive displays aligned with standards and promotions.
• Review sales with Deli Manager and Deli Retail Merchandiser to adjust orders and stock.
• Order bakery items and ingredients according to forecasts and promotions.
• Rotate products to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
• Design displays to promote key items and seasonal sales.
• Execute seasonal displays and promotions on schedule.
• Coordinate themed displays and holiday features with Deli Retail Merchandiser.
• Collaborate with Deli Manager to align merchandising with production and cross-merchandising opportunities.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure shelves are stocked and rotated.
• Minimize shrink through proper handling and presentation.
