Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a frontline Bakery Team Member to support receiving and preparing products, maintain the Bakery area and displays, and assist customers. You will stock shelves, support sampling, and uphold WFM standards while following safety and sanitation guidelines.

The role requires flexible scheduling, strong communication, and a willingness to pitch in across duties as needed. Prior retail experience is not required, and entry-level team members are welcomed.

Qualifications

• No formal retail experience required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains fresh and appealing displays by front-facing, rotating, stocking and checking codes.
• Stocks and cleans shelves, bins and display areas.
• Monitors spoilage and communicates waste to buyers, teams and shift supervisor.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Assists with sampling program and keeps sample areas full and clean.
• Assists with periodic inventory checks.
• Punctual, well-groomed and prepared for scheduled shifts and trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling techniques.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage and merchandising of products.
• Follows health, sanitation and safety procedures; keeps the environment clean and safe.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
