Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a Bakery department role to deliver outstanding customer experiences and maintain a safe, clean store environment in Granby, CO. You will oversee department operations, drive sales, and uphold quality and safety standards across the Bakery area.

You will lead associates, manage schedules, and implement promotions while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Current food handlers permit upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
• Communicate department information to associates.
• Establish department performance goals and empower associates to meet targets.
• Develop adequate scheduling to manage customer volume.
• Train and develop associates and participate in performance appraisals.
• Create a welcoming environment by answering questions about products and locating items.
• Inform customers of specials and offer samples to discover new items.
• Review products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Create and execute sales promotions with store management.
• Inform and educate about current promotions and in-store campaigns.
• Prepare seasonal critiques for sales and merchandising supervision.
• Implement the period promotional plan for the department.
• Assist management with budget, expenses and P&L reviews.
• Schedule price changes by updating shelf tags and signs.
• Plan and organize inventory and CAO training for staff.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and logs are maintained.
• Reinforce safety procedures and report safety risks or incidents.
• Adhere to laws and company guidelines and maintain safety.
