Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years of related retail experience.
• 1 year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in meat, bakery, produce and deli; also customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate directions clearly and resolve conflicts.
• Ability to analyze financial and statistical information to make informed decisions.

Responsibilities

• Plans, directs and supervises team members in day-to-day store operations.
• Acts as mentor and coach to all team members.
• Implements strategies to improve customer service and drive store sales.
• Maintains store appearance and product presentation to company standards.
• Staffing: staffing, selection and hiring to meet needs.
• Promotes succession planning and development of team members.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions and discharge decisions.
• Ensures adherence to safety, training and Meijer’s standards.
• Spends most time in-store communicating with customers and team members.
