Job summary

SpartanNash, a grocery and food solutions company with a presence in Owosso, MI, is hiring for a Bakery/Deli associate. You will prepare and display Bakery/Deli products, stock backroom areas, and collaborate with store teams to meet merchandising plans.

The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and guest experience in a fast-paced retail environment. High school diploma preferred; prior retail experience is a plus; friendly, detail-oriented candidates are welcome.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Detail-oriented attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce Bakery/Deli products.
• Package and label Bakery/Deli products per plan.
• Merchandise Bakery/Deli products per plan.
• Stock backroom and rotate products.
• Coordinate with other departments to grow store performance.
• Notify Bakery/Deli Manager to order supplies.
• Understand basic arithmetic operations and communicate tasks clearly.
• Follow PPE, safety, and cleaning guidelines.
• Follow guest experience guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed.
