Job summary

SpartanNash in Genesee, Michigan is seeking a Bakery/Deli Associate to prepare, fry, package, display, and stock bakery and deli products. You’ll follow production and flight plans, label items, rotate stock, and maintain guest experience and safety guidelines. The role requires basic math, reading/writing, attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. High school diploma or GED preferred and retail experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend and interpret documents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and produce Bakery/Deli products to production plan.
• Package and label Bakery/Deli products per program plan.
• Merchandise Bakery/Deli products per flight plan/merchandising expectations.
• Stock backroom with Bakery/Deli products – rotating and dating cases/buckets.
• Work as a team with other departments and stores to drive growth.
• Notify the Bakery/Deli Manager if products and supplies need to be ordered.
• Follow PPE and safety guidelines and food safety expectations.
• Communicate tasks, recipes, weights and measures, and cleaning steps to associates.
