Job summary

Woods Supermarket in Missouri is seeking a Bakery Deli Manager to lead the Bakery Deli team and oversee day-to-day operations. You will manage staff, plan schedules, develop budgets, and drive sales through guest-focused service and merchandising.

Responsibilities include supervising department activities, training teammates on equipment and safety, and ensuring product quality and proper presentation. The role requires strong leadership and a commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 or older.
• Basic mathematical ability (add, subtract, multiply, divide, and count).
• Able to read and write instructions, labels, printed paper and forms.
• Good interpersonal communications.
• Food Safety Certification

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage budgets for the department and target sales.
• Excel in guest service by developing a guest service program for all department teammates.
• Participate in hiring, firing, discipline, promotion, and evaluation of department personnel.
• Conduct department meetings to review merchandising and sales planning.
• Train department personnel when necessary.
• Develop weekly labor schedules and budget for all department teammates.
• Develop weekly display plans for merchandising and ad promotions to ensure full displays and proper rotation.
• Supervise safety, quality checks, and proper handling of merchandise.
