Job summary

Pick 'n Save in Wisconsin is seeking a Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) to create an outstanding customer experience by providing friendly service and assisting the department manager in reaching sales goals. The role includes preparing items per customer requests, promoting bakery/deli specials, and maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities include using bakery equipment, offering samples, ensuring correct portions, stocking and labeling, and maintaining inventory accuracy

• Ability to obtain current food handlers permit once employed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bakery/deli items per customer requests using appropriate equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials.
• Provide fresh products in correct portion sizes to minimize shrink.
• Recommend products to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Follow food safety temperatures and logs; cook as directed.
• Measure and mix ingredients; stock and label inventory.
• Monitor product quality and sell-by dates; report discrepancies.
