Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Bakery/Deli Clerk should offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials and promotions.
• Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs and preferences.
• Use equipment in bakery such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measure, mix ingredients using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; review sell-by dates.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and log temperatures.
