Job summary

Harps Food Stores in Bella Vista, AR is seeking a Bakery/Deli Clerk to support daily department operations, merchandising, and fresh food production while delivering friendly, helpful service to customers.

You will uphold food safety standards, participate in inventory and replenishment, and collaborate with teammates to maintain displays, signs, and overall department readiness. Prior experience not required, but reliability and a positive attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• No prior work experience required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Support bakery/deli department operations including readiness, staffing, price maintenance, policies and procedures, inventory preparation, department cleanliness, and safe use of equipment and tools.
• Replenishment & inventory procedures including ordering, replenishment, receiving, invoicing and accounting, back stock, reclamation and returns, damages and reworks, supply use and inventory preparation.
• Merchandising & sales floor standards including proper stocking, rotation, signing, setting and maintaining displays, sampling and overall department zoning procedures.
• Fresh food preparation & production including maintaining food safety standards, food preparation and production requirements, cool standards and maintaining service counters.
• Problem solving using critical thinking to define issues and obtain answers.
• Safety/quality orientation to maintain high quality and safety.
