Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• No previous work experience required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Adaptable to different situations and the ability to respond with flexibility to shifting priorities and rapid change.
• Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions.
• Moves, lifts, carries and places merchandise and supplies weighing ≤25 pounds without assistance.
• Frequently reaches overhead and below the knees, including pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, crouching and twisting with or without bearing weight.
• Continuous repetitive motion with hand(s) and arm(s).
• Stands and/or walks continuously throughout shift.
• May be exposed to various weather conditions and cleaning solvents or chemicals.
• Employment may be contingent upon completion and evaluation of background checks.

Responsibilities

• Support bakery/deli department operations including readiness, staffing, supervision, price maintenance, policies and procedures, inventory preparation, department cleanliness, and safety standards.
• Support replenishment and inventory processes including ordering, replenishment, receiving, invoicing, back stock, reclamation, and returns.
• Support merchandising and sales floor standards including stocking, signing, displays, sampling and zoning procedures.
• Support fresh food preparation and production including maintaining food safety standards and service counters.
• Demonstrate customer service excellence and SMILE program adherence.
• Build relationships with customers and peers to enhance service.
• Demonstrate conscientiousness and dependability in daily tasks and safety.
