Job summary

Harps Food Stores seeks a Bakery/Deli Clerk to support department operations, including readiness, staffing, price maintenance, inventory prep, and cleanliness, while upholding safety standards.

You will handle replenishment, merchandising, fresh food preparation, and customer service with a friendly SMILE program approach, building relationships and ensuring product quality. This role requires a flexible schedule and the ability to stand for long periods in a fast-paced store.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• No previous work experience required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Adaptable to different situations and shifting priorities.
• Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions.
• Able to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Support bakery/deli department operations including readiness, staffing, pricing, procedures, inventory preparation, cleaning, and safety.
• Assist replenishment and inventory processes including ordering, receiving, invoicing, back stock, and returns.
• Maintain merchandising and displays, proper stocking and signing, and department zoning procedures.
• Assist with fresh food preparation and production, ensuring food safety standards.
• Uphold safety and quality by following policies and procedures and focusing on customer needs.
• Build relationships with customers and coworkers to deliver friendly service and support Harps’ mission.
