Job summary

Kroger is seeking a Bakery/Deli Clerk to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a safe, clean environment. You will assist the department manager in achieving sales goals and ensure quality standards are followed to keep customers returning.

You will prepare items to customer specifications, offer samples, and promote bakery and deli specials while maintaining accuracy in labeling and temperature logs.

Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) will prepare items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover items.
• Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Provide customers with fresh, accurately portioned products.
• Recommend bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, scales, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare, label and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
• Maintain proper temperatures and temperature logs.
