Responsibilities

• Grocery Clerk (Bakery/Deli) prepares items per customer requests using proper bakery equipment.
• Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials and promotions.
• Provide fresh products ordered by customers and ensure correct portion sizes.
• Suggest and recommend deli or bakery items to customers.
• Operate bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods following recipes and temperature logs.
• Measure and mix ingredients with kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Monitor product quality and sell-by dates; take appropriate action.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers with logs.
• Assist customers and maintain a welcoming store environment.
