Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare items per customer requests using bakery equipment.
• Offer samples to help customers discover products.
• Inform customers of bakery/deli specials.
• Provide fresh products and correct portions to minimize shrink.
• Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
• Use bakery equipment (refrigerators, freezers, slicers, ovens) per guidelines.
• Prepare foods according to temperature logs and recipes.
• Measure, mix and prepare ingredients with kitchen utensils.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Ensure product quality and check sell-by dates.
• Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers and log temps.
• Engage customers to create a welcoming store environment.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
• Report accidents and hazards to management.
