Responsibilities include:
- Offering product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
- Informing customers of bakery and deli specials.
- Providing customers with fresh products ordered with correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
- Recommending deli or bakery items to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Using bakery equipment according to guidelines.
- Preparing foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
- Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients as per recipes.
- Packaging, labeling, and inventorying ingredients.
- Checking product quality and freshness.
- Properly using kitchen equipment like refrigerators, slicers, ovens, etc.
- Labeling, stocking, and inventorying merchandise.
- Reporting discrepancies to the manager.
- Understanding store layout and locating products for customers.
- Staying current with advertisements and promotions.
- Maintaining product knowledge and responding to customer questions.
- Monitoring inventory and stock conditions.
- Ensuring proper temperatures and maintaining logs.
- Creating a welcoming environment for customers.
- Adhering to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
- Practicing preventive maintenance and inspecting equipment.
- Notifying management of accidents or unsafe conditions.
- Working cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
