Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Customer Service skills

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Prepare bakery/deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
  2. Offer product samples to customers.
  3. Inform customers of specials.
  4. Provide fresh, correctly portioned products to customers.
  5. Recommend items to ensure customer satisfaction.
  6. Use bakery equipment according to guidelines.
  7. Follow food safety and temperature logs.
  8. Measure and prepare ingredients accurately.
  9. Package, label, and inventory ingredients.
  10. Check product quality and freshness.
  11. Operate kitchen equipment safely.
  12. Label, stock, and inventory merchandise.
  13. Report discrepancies to management.
  14. Locate products and respond to customer inquiries.
  15. Stay current with store ads and product knowledge.
  16. Maintain inventory and temperature logs.
  17. Create a welcoming environment for customers.
  18. Adhere to food safety regulations.
  19. Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
  20. Inspect equipment and report repairs.
  21. Notify management of accidents.
  22. Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
  23. Manage conflict and act with integrity.
  24. Follow directions and resolve issues effectively.
  25. Support interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and seniors.
