Responsibilities include:

• Offering product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
• Informing customers of bakery and deli specials.
• Providing customers with fresh products ordered and in correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
• Recommending deli or bakery items to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Using bakery equipment like refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to company guidelines.
• Preparing foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
• Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients as per recipes.
• Packaging, labeling, and inventorying ingredients and merchandise.
• Checking product quality and freshness, reviewing "sell by" dates, and taking appropriate action.
• Properly using kitchen equipment such as stoves, scales, fryers, and steamers.
• Labeling, stocking, and inventorying department merchandise.
• Reporting discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
• Understanding store layout and assisting customers in locating products.
• Staying updated with current and upcoming promotions and special ads.
• Maintaining product knowledge and responding to customer inquiries with suggestions.
• Monitoring inventory and stock conditions, noting discrepancies.
• Ensuring proper temperatures in cases and coolers, maintaining logs.
• Creating a welcoming environment, making customers feel valued.
• Adhering to food safety regulations and guidelines.
