Responsibilities

1. Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
3. Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
4. Provide customers with fresh products and correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
5. Recommend products to ensure customer satisfaction.
6. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens following company guidelines.
7. Follow food safety and temperature logs, and prepare foods according to instructions.
8. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using kitchen utensils and equipment.
9. Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
10. Check product quality, review "sell by" dates, and take appropriate action.
11. Maintain proper temperatures and logs for cases and coolers.
12. Maintain inventory and stock levels, and report discrepancies.
13. Understand store layout and assist customers in locating products.
14. Stay informed about current and upcoming promotions and product knowledge.
15. Ensure safety procedures are followed and equipment is maintained.
16. Handle customer interactions professionally, managing conflicts cooperatively.
17. Support diverse customer needs, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
18. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
