Bakery/Deli Clerk (Finance)

Responsibilities include:

  • Offering product samples to help customers discover new items.
  • Informing customers about bakery and deli specials.
  • Providing customers with fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
  • Recommending bakery and deli items based on customer needs.
  • Using bakery equipment safely and according to guidelines.
  • Preparing foods following proper temperature logs and cooking instructions.
  • Measuring, preparing, and mixing ingredients accurately.
  • Packaging, labeling, and inventorying ingredients and products.
  • Checking product quality and freshness, reviewing sell-by dates.
  • Maintaining proper temperatures and logging for cases and coolers.
  • Maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Assisting customers and responding to inquiries about products.
  • Staying informed about current and upcoming promotions and products.
  • Managing inventory and stocking as needed.
  • Adhering to food safety, safety procedures, and reporting unsafe conditions.
  • Supporting a respectful and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
  • Working cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and managing conflicts appropriately.
  • Following directions and seeking help when needed.
  • Supporting vulnerable populations, including minors, individuals with special needs, and seniors.
