Job Responsibilities:

  • Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
  • Inform customers about bakery and deli specials.
  • Provide customers with fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
  • Recommend bakery or deli items to meet customer needs.
  • Operate bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
  • Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
  • Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients using appropriate utensils and equipment.
  • Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise properly.
  • Check product quality, review 'sell by' dates, and take necessary actions.
  • Use kitchen equipment safely and correctly.
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
  • Report discrepancies in product ordering or shipping.
  • Understand store layout and assist customers in locating products.
  • Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions and advertisements.
  • Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries with suggestions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and note discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers, maintaining logs.
  • Foster trust and respect among team members.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Follow safety procedures, report unsafe conditions, and notify management of accidents.
  • Inspect equipment regularly and report repairs needed.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment and manage conflicts effectively.
  • Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek assistance when needed.
  • Support and assist vulnerable populations, including minors, individuals with special needs, and seniors.
