Job Responsibilities:
  • Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
  • Inform customers of bakery and deli specials.
  • Provide customers with fresh products, ensuring correct portions to prevent shrink.
  • Recommend bakery or deli items to customers.
  • Use bakery equipment according to guidelines.
  • Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
  • Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes.
  • Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
  • Check product quality and review "sell by" dates.
  • Properly use kitchen equipment like refrigerators, slicers, ovens, etc.
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
  • Report discrepancies in product ordering/shipping.
  • Locate products within the store as requested.
  • Stay updated with current and upcoming promotions.
  • Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer questions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and conditions.
  • Ensure proper temperature controls and logs are maintained.
  • Foster a respectful and trusting environment among associates.
  • Create a welcoming environment for customers.
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and safety procedures.
  • Practice preventive maintenance and report equipment issues.
  • Notify management of accidents or unsafe conditions.
  • Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment.
  • Manage conflicts professionally.
  • Act honestly and with integrity regarding customer and business information.
  • Follow directions and seek help when needed.
