Job Responsibilities:

  • Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
  • Inform customers about bakery and deli specials.
  • Provide customers with fresh products and correct portions to prevent shrinkage.
  • Recommend deli or bakery items to meet customer needs.
  • Operate bakery equipment safely and according to guidelines.
  • Prepare foods following temperature logs and cooking instructions.
  • Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes.
  • Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
  • Check product quality and review sell-by dates.
  • Use kitchen equipment properly, including refrigerators, slicers, ovens, etc.
  • Maintain inventory and stock levels, report discrepancies.
  • Understand store layout and locate products for customers.
  • Stay updated on current and upcoming promotions.
  • Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer inquiries.
  • Ensure proper storage temperatures and maintain logs.
  • Promote a respectful and welcoming environment for customers and staff.
  • Adhere to food safety and safety procedures, report unsafe conditions or accidents.
  • Perform equipment inspections and notify management of repairs.
  • Work cooperatively in a fast-paced environment, manage conflicts professionally.
  • Act with honesty and integrity in all interactions.
  • Support customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and seniors.
