Responsibilities

1. Prepare bakery and deli items according to customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
3. Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
4. Provide customers with fresh products, ensuring correct portion sizes to prevent shrink.
5. Recommend bakery or deli items to customers to meet their needs.
6. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to company guidelines.
7. Prepare foods following food safety and temperature logs.
8. Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients as per recipes using appropriate utensils and equipment.
9. Package, label, and inventory ingredients and merchandise.
10. Check product quality for freshness and review 'sell by' dates.
11. Maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, and keep logs.
12. Stock and label merchandise; report discrepancies.
13. Assist customers in locating products and answer questions about items.
14. Maintain knowledge of products and current promotions.
15. Ensure safety procedures are followed and report unsafe conditions.
16. Practice preventive maintenance on equipment and report repairs.
17. Handle customer and employee accidents appropriately.
18. Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment, managing conflicts professionally.
19. Follow directions and seek assistance when needed to resolve issues.
20. Support and assist minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
21. Perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
