Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Customer service skills

Desired Previous Job Experience:

  • Bakery or Deli experience is advantageous
  • Retail experience

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Prepare bakery/deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
  2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items.
  3. Inform customers about specials and promotions.
  4. Provide fresh, correctly portioned products to customers, minimizing shrinkage.
  5. Recommend products to meet customer needs.
  6. Use bakery equipment following safety and operational guidelines.
  7. Prepare foods according to recipes and logs.
  8. Measure, prepare, and package ingredients; inventory supplies.
  9. Ensure product quality and freshness, reviewing expiration dates.
  10. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
  11. Label, stock, and inventory merchandise accurately.
  12. Report discrepancies and maintain store layout knowledge.
  13. Stay current with store promotions and product knowledge.
  14. Maintain inventory and temperature logs.
  15. Create a welcoming environment for customers.
  16. Adhere to food safety and safety procedures.
  17. Report safety issues and equipment needs.
  18. Assist in maintaining a safe, respectful, and cooperative work environment.
  19. Support and assist diverse customer needs, including minors and individuals with special needs.
  20. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
