Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Customer Service skills
• Effective communication skills
• Knowledge of basic math
• Ability to obtain current food handlers permit once employed

Essential Job Functions:

1. Prepare bakery and deli items per customer requests using proper equipment.
2. Offer product samples to help customers discover new items or inquire about products.
3. Inform customers of bakery and/or deli specials.
4. Provide customers with fresh products and correct portions to minimize shrink.
5. Recommend bakery or deli items to customers.
6. Use bakery equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, slicers, and ovens according to guidelines.
7. Follow food safety regulations and maintain temperature logs.
8. Prepare, package, label, and inventory ingredients and products.
9. Check product quality and review "sell by" dates.
10. Maintain knowledge of products and respond to customer questions.
11. Ensure proper inventory and stock levels.
12. Promote a welcoming environment for customers.
13. Follow safety procedures and report unsafe conditions or incidents.
14. Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs needed.
15. Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts appropriately.
16. Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
17. Support and assist customers, including minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
18. Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
