Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Cake Decorator in Houston, TX to drive member service and deliver bakery items that members love. You will work with associates to ensure the club meets member expectations, plan productions, use decorating tools, and maintain food safety and inventory standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months’ experience in fresh production.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must successfully complete all required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time if selected.

Responsibilities

• Be a Team Member: Collaborate with cross functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks and resources; focus on customer service and meeting member expectations.
• Be an Expert: Plan bakery productions, maintain quality and accuracy of decorative designs, follow recipes and measurements, work with decorating tools and ensure food safety and inventory management.
• Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience, using handheld devices for decisions related to production and ordering.
• Be an Owner: Drive bakery performance, ensure quality/date control, prepare for seasonal events, assist members with purchasing decisions and resolve issues.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Be a brand advocate, train and inspire others, foster a respectful, supportive team environment.
• Complies with policies, ethics and integrity by applying Walmart’s Open Door policy and related processes.
• Completes work by prioritizing tasks, communicating progress, and adapting to change.
