Job summary

Indiana Grocery Group seeks a Bakery Clerk to provide outstanding customer service, assist staff, and maintain bakery cleanliness. Responsibilities include stocking, rotating product, inspecting freshness, facing merchandise, and assisting with orders and packaging. Also handles cleaning, stock deliveries, and working in cooler/freezer as needed.

The role involves direct customer interaction in a bakery environment, with exposure to coolers and temperature variations. EOE.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow directions.
• Ability to work in cooler/freezer exposure up to 1 hour at a time.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers.
• Stock and rotate product.
• Inspect bakery products for freshness.
• Face merchandise in the department.
• Cut open boxes with a box cutter.
• Take orders.
• Cleans/sanitizes department, back room and cooler/freezer.
• Receives, delivers and arranges stock in cooler/freezer.
• Prepares and packages product.
