Job summary

Brookshire Grocery Company in Ruston, LA is hiring a Bakery Associate to package, label, and price bakery products. You’ll maintain stock levels and protect product quality by monitoring dates, appearance, and storage temperatures.

You’ll assist bakery staff with preparation, packaging, labeling, and displays; promote sales through suggestive selling; and keep the work area clean, safe, and sanitary. On-the-job training is provided to help you succeed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be 21+ to drive for Company business per policy.
• Food Handler certification required.
• Typically involves on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Stock and rotate baked goods to maintain quality.
• Assist bakery staff with preparation, packaging, labeling, and displays.
• Promote product sales through suggestive selling.
• Stack pallets and sort products per efficiency standards.
• Maintain clean, safe and sanitary work environment.
• Greet customers and take orders by phone and in person.
