Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. Bakery is seeking a reliable team member to deliver friendly customer service, maintain a clean, well-stocked bakery area, and assist with the preparation, packaging, and display of baked goods such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.

The role requires good communication, the ability to read and tag products, and the physical capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods. Training follows company policies and promotes a helpful, prompt service culture.

DEPARTMENT: BakeryREPORTS TO: Bakery ManagerFLSA STATUS: Non-ExemptJOB SUMMARY:Responsible for providing excellent customer service, maintaining a clean and organized bakery department, and assisting with the preparation, packaging, and stocking of bakery products.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Maintain presentable and adequately filled shelves.Control freshness by coding all products and pulling out-of-code merchandise daily.Help prepare, package, and display baked goods such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies.Ensure proper tagging of all products is accurate and legible.Maintain the regular cleaning and sanitation program as established by company policies.Maintain good customer relations by providing prompt and courteous customer service.Greet all customers and be observant to your surroundings.Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Answer phones and to take special orders.Assist in baking of products.Assist in taking a cake order for customers.Assist in unloading and proper storage of merchandise as it is delivered.MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Must have strong communication skills to provide adequate customer service.Must have dexterity in hands to wrap and package products.Must be able to read and write to properly tag and price the products.Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds as needed.Must be able to stand upright for most of your scheduled work shift.
