Hy-Vee in Lees Summit, MO is seeking a part-time Bakery Clerk to join the team. You will greet customers, assist with bakery products, and help maintain freshness and display quality.

Training is provided, and there is support from a strong store team to ensure a welcoming, efficient bakery experience. You’ll work in a fast-paced bakery environment, follow safety and sanitation standards, and contribute to a pleasant shopping experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• Follow written and verbal instructions with confidence.
• Basic math skills for simple addition, subtraction, counting, and recording.
• Clear communication with customers and teammates in a friendly, helpful way.
• Stay organized and keep up with the pace of a busy bakery environment.
• Less than a high school diploma or equivalent accepted; up to six months of similar or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and making them feel welcome in the bakery.
• Assist customers with finding products, reaching items, carrying heavy purchases, and taking orders at the bakery counter.
• Review daily orders and monitor product freshness, appearance, and supply levels throughout your shift.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish baked goods as needed, pulling product from the cooler or freezer to prepare for baking.
• Follow sanitation procedures and keep work area clean and organized at all times.
