Hy-Vee is seeking a friendly Bakery Clerk to join our team in a fast-paced store bakery environment. You will greet customers, assist at the bakery counter, and help prepare and replenish baked goods while ensuring product freshness and presentation.

No prior experience is required, as Hy-Vee provides training and supports your development. Responsibilities include handling orders, maintaining clean work areas, and operating the bakery register.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; willing to train.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic math for simple addition, subtraction, counting.
• Stand/walk for long periods in a bakery environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and assist at the bakery counter.
• Assist customers in finding products, reaching items, and taking orders.
• Review daily orders and monitor product freshness and supply levels.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish baked goods from cooler/freezer as needed.
• Maintain sanitation, cleanliness, and organization of the workspace.
• Operate the department register and process payments as applicable.
• Collaborate with teammates to ensure a positive customer experience.
